PLAYBACK at London Demo Day
One of four ventures Queen Mary put forward to pitch at Imperial College London.
Queen Mary wrote the first cheque PLAYBACK ever took. £5,000, non-dilutive, June 2025, the Grow It award. On Wednesday, they put us on the London Demo Day stage at Imperial.
The pitch itself hasn't changed. Elite clubs have had the cameras, the data and the development pathways for years. The 99% who actually play the game have had none of it. PLAYBACK makes the top 1% of tools affordable for everyone else, and the volume in this market is at the bottom of the pyramid, not the top.
The ask in this case was to fund expansion and one exclusive acquisition opportunity. Two years of building without it is what earned the right to ask for it.
